2012 Science Fiction Experience

The 2012 Science Fiction Reading Experience is hosted by Carl at StainlessSteelDroppings.  Carl has designed this to be an “experience” rather than a ”challenge”, but I’ve decided to use his program to challenge myself.  I tend to lean toward Paranormal and Fantasy novels, but I have definitely enjoyed some Science Fiction as well.  I think I should expand my horizons and read more in different genres, so I’m taking on this concept as a challenge to myself.

While there is no minimum reading requirement or challenge levels, I’ve decided to set goals for myself.  I plan to read and review 12 Science Fiction novels in 2012.  If I can exceed this number, all the better.

Participants will be posting links to their reviews here:  2012 Science Fiction Experience Review Site.

My completed list, with links to my review posts, will be listed below as I complete my reviews.  Please join us for this fun reading program!

My list of completed books:

  1. I joined the Sci Fi Experience for the same reason–I read a LOT of fantasy, but would like to read more sci fi. I think the deck is stacked against us…I was at the library and looked in the section labeled “Science Fiction,” only to find mostly fantasy… Anyway, it’s nice to have the “experience” to challenge me :) to read more sci fi. Good luck with your goals!

Hi Cheryl, I know what you mean. There is a large selection on Amazon, but I don’t even know where to start! I may as well throw a dart while blindfolded. I thought I’d try to start with something SciFi romance, and to be honest, I’m not even sure that “counts”. Good luck to you too!
